Independentemente da questão médica envolvida, uma amiga aflita nunca deve ser deixada ao léu. Por amizade ou por obediência a um juramento, devo me manifestar. E, nestes dias de relação tumultuada entre médicos e clientes qualquer escorregadela pode ser interpretada como uma das quatro inimigas figadais da prática médica – imperícia, imprudência, negligência e omissão. Não vou me omitir. Assim evito a exposição à última condição. Apesar de que a aflição foi um mero desabafo e não um apelo por atendimento.
Embora, no comentário inicial sobre a questão, eu tenha simplificado o assunto e me comprometido a indicar uma simpatia para o caso clínico, depois de uma reflexão profissional, resolvi tratar o assunto de uma forma mais completa. Não vou clinicar virtualmente, mas tenho certeza que algumas opiniões podem ser emitidas para melhorar a percepção da cliente frente à solução do problema.
Primeiramente, um esclarecimento sobre o termo síndrome – uma palavra grega utilizada, desde os primórdios da Medicina, para indicar um conjunto de sinais e sintomas sem relação com uma doença específica. Este significado persiste até os dias de hoje. Portanto, uma síndrome não tem uma causa definida. Diversas situações clínicas podem determinar ou contribuir para o aparecimento dos sinais e sintomas que caracterizam uma síndrome.
Como o paradigma terapêutico, ainda vigente na Medicina moderna, indica a escolha de métodos de tratamento baseados nas causas, pode-se inferir que uma síndrome pode ter diferentes tratamentos, na dependência dos agentes causadores. Desta forma, a resposta ao tratamento vai depender do acerto na causa e da interação entre a ação médica instituída (medicamentosa ou não) e a capacidade da pessoa realizar e reagir ao tratamento.
Por isso a maior parte das doenças (entidades com causas determinadas) tem uma resposta ao tratamento melhor do que as síndromes. Nada complicado e nem criado para dificultar a relação entre médicos e doentes. Problemas médicos não permitem soluções simplistas. Desta forma a linha - Cansei! Não quero mais brincar de síndrome, não pode ser considerada uma solução. E nem se jogar de cabeça numa rotina infindável de reuniões de trabalho. A busca da cura pela redenção do esquecimento, não frutificará.
É preciso persistência. Antes que esta afirmativa seja mal interpretada e que pensem cobras e lagartos deste amigo curandeiro ou elogiem os meus ancestrais femininos, saibam que considero oito anos uma demonstração suficientemente robusta de disposição e força de vontade para vencer o mal. Mas o fato de não ter sido suficiente para vencê-lo não permite o abandono da busca de uma solução. Há que se persistir.
Persistir em mostrar aos médicos que as tentativas, até o momento, não foram adequadas. Persistir em descobrir as causas pessoais ou profissionais que contribuíram para este insucesso. A relação médico-paciente é uma via de mão dupla. Muitos dos fracassos médicos estão relacionados a uma relação mal construída. E não depende apenas de um dos fatores, sempre tem contribuição bilateral. Se a sua percepção indica que é difícil encontrar médicos capacitados para uma boa relação, tome a dianteira, faça com que parta de você a iniciativa de desenvolver uma relação amigável. Estabeleça as suas necessidades e transfira para o profissional. Um bom médico saberá aproveitá-las.
